Holdings by weight
8 rowsHow this is calculated
Weight = Holding value ÷ Total value · Group allocation = Σ weights in the group
- Effective number
- 1 ÷ Σ weight² — how many equal-sized holdings the portfolio behaves like
Knowing your real mix is the first step in managing a portfolio: funds and accounts spread across platforms often add up to a very different allocation than intended. Group by asset class to check your equity–debt split, or by sector, market cap or owner for other views.
Assumptions & sources
- Values are today's market values; a hybrid fund counted in one group may in reality hold several asset classes.

Common questions
How much in one sector is too much?
Many investors cap any single sector at around 25–30 % of their equity, unless they deliberately want that exposure. Compare with the index — financials are over a third of the Nifty 50.
How do I count funds?
Use the fund's sector breakdown from its factsheet and enter one row per sector with your share of the value.
